Handcrafted using ancient methods (4,000+ years!) with coppice timber from Barton St. David, Somerset.

Works best with 1 wheelbarrow of organic matter.

Apply once or twice yearly – at the beginning & end of the season or anytime you mulch or dig over your bed.

Application Guide:

• Year 1: Mix Biochar with 1 wheelbarrow organic matter, rake over 1.5m² bed.
• Years 2-5: Apply mix over 3m² cultivation area.
• Years 5+: Expand coverage to 6m².
• Note: Rates are flexible. Biochar stays in your soil for millennia, making every addition valuable.

Tips:

• Poor Soil? Inoculate Biochar for 2 weeks with a high-nutrient/microbe source (compost, urine, etc.). Consult a soil expert if needed.
• Over-application? Don’t worry! Temporary nutrient hoarding may occur but will normalize.  Add additional Organic matter.
• pH Check: Monitor pH levels before winter application. Adapt Biochar amount or crop choice if needed.
